Awesome Preview Drops For New Western Series: WATCH

Netflix's upcoming western documentary series "Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War" looks like a must-watch for history buffs.

Americans are fascinated by cowboys and Westerns, and interest has only grown over the past several years. That's why everything Taylor Sheridan touches turns to gold.

"Yellowstone" kicked off an entire new interest in the genre, and Netflix is now taking a look at one of the most famous figures in the history of the West:

Wyatt Earp.

Netflix releases trailer for "Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War."

Wyatt Earp is a legendary figure in American history after partaking in the gunfight at the O.K. Corral on October 26, 1881 against the Clantons, McLaurys and Billy Claiborne.

It's been the focus of multiple films, and Netflix is now giving viewers a documentary series. Check out the preview below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

There is a 100% chance I will watch this series. No doubt about it. It's about one of the most infamous/epic shootouts in American history. It's a moment that is still talked about nearly 150 years later. Of course, it helps that "Tombstone" is one of the most famous movies ever made, but if you're interested in American history, then there's a high chance you've heard of it before.

What many people might not know is the gunfight at the O.K. Corral hardly ended there. It kicked off a series of events and revenge plots played out in the aftermath, but have received only a fraction of the attention the initial gun battle did.

That's what "Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War" appears intent on diving into, and I can't wait. Throw in the fact Ed Harris is narrating, and I'm sold. Harris is one of the coolest guys in Hollywood and the perfect man for the job.

"Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War" arrives August 21 on Netflix. I'll definitely be checking it out. Let me know if you will be too.
