Women Are Complaining That New Apple Operating System Is A 'Cheater's Paradise'

Is Apple's iPhone about to be a cheater's best friend?

That's what many on X seem to believe after Apple unveiled features for its new iOS18 at yesterday's Worldwide Developer's Conference. One such feature, touted as a further nod to privacy concerns, will allow users to hide or lock apps behind facial recognition or passwords.

Apparently, many nervous girlfriends are voicing their own concerns about privacy. Namely, questioning whether their significant others will be a little bit too private. People immediately went on social media to rip the new feature - with one even likening it to a ‘cheater’s paradise!'

APPLE IPHONE UPDATE WILL ALLOW HIDDEN APPS, NOTIFICATIONS OFF

Oh, honey - if you're that concerned that someone's cheating on you that they are going to be hiding apps, then newsflash - you probably shouldn't be with them in the first place. Also, am I the only one that thinks it's insane for people to allow their other person to go through their phone whenever they want? Anyway, I digress.

"Locked and hidden apps offer users peace of mind that information they want to keep private, such as app notifications and content, will not inadvertently be seen by others," Apple said in a statement while announcing the new feature. "Users can now lock an app; and for additional privacy, they can hide an app, moving it to a locked, hidden apps folder." The company argues that the new features will allow people to keep their banking apps more secure, as well as hide apps like Amazon from their kids who may make unexpected purchases.

Users will be able to hide or lock any app that they want, as well as Apple's automatic Mail, Messages, Notes, Photos and Safari features. It will also disable Siri or the ability to search for them.

Great news for those unfaithful Tinder users, but bad for their multiple side pieces - which apparently there are a lot of! (At least they know it though?)

The new Apple iPhone 16 is expected to be released in September 2024.
