Woman Who Married A Victorian Ghost Got Divorced After His Apparent Affair With Marilyn Monroe

If you thought Marilyn Monroe couldn't steal your husband in the year 2023 then you're out of your mind. She can and she will. Especially if your ghost husband becomes obsessed with her.

Brocarde, a singer and songwriter from Oxfordshire in South East England, ended her marriage recently to the ghost of a Victorian soldier named Edwardo in part because of his affair with the deceased actress.

The couple's marriage was almost doomed from the start. According to the 40-year-old, Monroe was in the chapel during their Halloween 2022 wedding. That's when she first caught Edwardo's eye.

Brocarde says she first met her Victorian soldier ex-husband on a stormy night. She was having trouble sleeping before he entered the room and left her with some intense feelings.

"Out of nowhere I felt an intense burning in my heart, the sensation moved slowly throughout my whole body, making me tingle, and down and out through my toes," she said. "A warm breath on my neck whispered 'I love you' as the spirit departed and the room fell cold. I was left shaking and trembling in bed as tears streamed down my face."

Despite the intensity of their first meeting things got off to a rocky start between them. Brocarde added, "Our relationship had always been turbulent from the beginning, with the stark contrast of him being threatening and possessive and then warm and intense but I slowly began to tire of being married to a free spirit, he was inconsistent, barely present."

Her ghost husband's obsession with Marilyn Monroe led to an apparent affair that pushed things over the top. She had had enough and decided it was time for a divorce.

Brocarde said of the affair, "He had an unsettling fascination with Marilyn Monroe. It started on our wedding day when he spotted her in the chapel, then he'd disappear for days on end and reappear, smelling of Chanel No. 5."

It turns out that divorcing a ghost isn't as easy as it sounds. You can't just contact a physic medium and expect them to be able to finalize such a divorce. That's a mistake she unfortunately had to learn the hard way.

The medium only angered Edwardo. Instead of leaving her alone and moving on with his afterlife, he haunted her with the sound of a crying baby.

I think you know what had to be done to finalize this divorce. That's right, a full on exorcism had to be performed. So Brocarde returned to the chapel where the two were married, this time for an exorcism.

Lo and behold, the exorcism worked and she's now a free woman - single and ready to mingle.

"I haven't felt his presence or seen him, the whole energy has shifted and life feels more light and joyful," Bricarde said of the divorce. "I am quite adamant that I no longer want to be haunted by Edwardo so his presence isn't welcome in my life."

You couldn't have asked for a better ending. What a ride. This woman married a ghost, then divorced a ghost, because the ghost had an affair with Marilyn Monroe.

Brocarde's next husband is going to have his work cut out for him if he hopes to top that level of excitement. I don't know about you, but I'll have whatever she's having.
