Woman Joins Funeral Service Via Zoom From The Shower, Forgets To Turn Camera Off
You ever joined a funeral via zoom, decided to hop in the shower during the eulogy, and forget to turn your camera off?
Me neither. Thank God. Had a couple close calls, but never had it come to that.
Now, the same can't be said for one poor lady over in London who recently helped family members mourn the loss of a loved one by giving them a virtual show they'll never forget.
Zoom calls are always a gamble
I mean, just the worst. This is why the whole Zoom era is such a wild card.
People love it, because it's essentially a get-out-of-jail free card. Don't wanna go to the office? Fine. Say you have COVID and join via Zoom. Easy. Biggest scam in the world.
Don't wanna doll yourself up and spend all Saturday at a funeral? Don't blame you one bit. Oh, they're live-streaming it? Perfect. I'll just zoom in and call it a day.
But this is what can happen if you don't have your head on a swivel. Trust me, it's nearly happened to me a dozen times.
Not from the shower, but just regular things, like getting in a quick game of MLB The Show during a meeting or downing a Busch Light while the muckity-mucks talk shop.
And if it's your turn to talk and you accidentally hit the "video" button instead of "unmute" button, buddy, you're in trouble. It's game over then. Might as well log off and log on to Monster.com.
And yes, the unedited, raw footage is out there on the internet. I ain't posting it here because we have class. Feel free to find it for yourself.
Anyway, this unfortunate mishap took place in North London. The unnamed woman in the shower couldn't make the funeral, so she logged on via Zoom and hopped in the shower to kill two birds with one stone.
One thing led to another, and the next thing you know she was going viral on the internet when those who actually attended started snapping pics of the zoom link, which was shared on the big screen for everyone to see.
Just a tough spot, but as is life in 2024.
Thanks, COVID.
