Miami Police Investigating Bowling Alley Brawl After Woman Gets KO'd With A Flying Bowling Ball
Earlier this week, video of a bowling alley brawl at Lucky Strike in Miami went viral on socia media. The video shows several people pushing, shoving, and punching each other. There are even objects, including bowling balls, being thrown.
During the wild scene, one of the thrown bowling balls makes solid contact with a woman's head. She appears to be knocked out by the bowling ball to the side of the head as she immediately falls to the floor after it hits her.
Another bowling ball goes flying through the air as others check on the downed woman. The clip ends shortly after that, and it's unclear what happened once the video ends.
Miami Police would also like to know what happened to the group. They were called to the scene around 12:45 am on Tuesday morning, but by the time they arrived, those involved had already left.
"Bowling balls were being thrown left and right," said Miami Police spokesperson Michael Vega, 7 News reports. "They were not only fighting, bowling balls were being thrown."
Officers are still trying to identify both the bowling ball thrower and the receiver of the strike to the head, and they warn that both could be facing charges.
A Bowling Ball To The Head Isn't An Ideal Outcome From A Trip To The Bowling Alley
"We are trying to locate both the victim and the suspect in this case and they can both be facing charges," said Vega.
"Number one, they vandalized the establishment, so they gonna be looking at criminal mischief. Then we are looking at the aggravated battery for the bowling ball that was thrown and hit the victim on the head."
That's incredible recovery time by the woman who took the bowling ball to the head. To get up, regain your consciousness, and get out of there before the police arrive is impressive.
Hopefully, she didn't sustain any major injuries from the flying bowling ball to the head. There's also a valuable lesson about keeping your head on a swivel when people are recklessly tossing bowling balls around.
As for the bowling alley, it's off to a red-hot start, having held its grand opening a few weeks ago at the end of March. A brawl with flying bowling balls didn't slow them down at all. They remained open for business following the incident.
