Woman Ended Up In An Affair With Her Boss' Husband After Shooting Her Shot By Offering To Join Them In Bed

What's the first thing you do when you accidentally find yourself in a full-blown affair with your boss/best friend's husband?  You reach out to a podcast then join them to discuss.

That isn't everyone's approach to the situation, which has now become very messy thanks to the fact that the woman and her boss' husband have developed feelings for one another, but it's this woman's approach.

Adding to the fun is the fact that her boss and her husband have children together.  Oh, and I can't leave out that the woman has a boyfriend and a young child of her own.  So "very messy" is one way to describe it.

How did this all happen?  Well, according to the woman who told her story to Joe Santagato and Greg Dybec, hosts of the Other People's Lives podcast, a text message shooting her shot is when everything changed.

The woman became best friends with her boss over the five years that she's been working for her.  After roughly a year of working together, she started being invited over to her boss' house.  It took another three months or so before she met the boss' husband.

She was intrigued by the husband after spotting pictures of him on her boss' Facebook profile.  Then, after seeing him in person, she decided to strike up a friendship with him, but admitted that it "felt different than a friendship."

The two would talk and exchange text messages with one another.  After about six months of this she decided to shoot her shot.  She was out drinking with a friend and received a message from her best friend's husband about how he was going to be getting lucky later that night.

"I basically said, ‘I wish I could do that with you guys’ or ‘I wish I could join.’  Something along those lines and he was just lit up because he's really into that kind of stuff," she admitted.

Having An Affair With Your Best Friend's Husband Sounds Good On Paper

It was an attempt on her part to gauge his interest.  She wasn't really into the boss or joining the two of them in bed.  She was solely interested in the husband.

From there, they did some flirting with one another via text messages for about a month before they planned on meeting up "to hang out."  That's when the affair started.

"I was so nervous.  I was so scared, especially because he's also, I don't know, 16 to 18 years older than me... 18?  So that in itself is nerve-wracking," she said.

"You know, I don't... I don't know him a whole lot.  I only know him over text and what he tells me and what I know from what my boss tells me.  So I was nervous, but I mean, I went there, and I made it there and after that, it was kind of like, well sh*t now what?"

She says that she didn't want it to become a full-blown affair.  She told her boss' husband that they could meet up every once in a while for their extramarital activities.  That didn't last.

They're now in a full-blown affair where they get together at least once a week, and they've fallen in love with each other.  The romance has been going on for about a year now.

Ultimately, they hope that they can eventually be together.

How they pull that off is very much up in the air right now.  The soonest that the boss' husband is willing to take that step is six years from now, when his youngest child is 18.

I get the feeling that this is going to crash and burn long before the six years are up.  However, the unwavering romantic buried deep inside of me hopes it all works out.

The boss lets her keep her job and her husband.  She gets the white picket fence, a puppy, and the two cheaters live out their days happily together.
