WNBA Rookie's Rumored Girlfriend Gave Americans Plenty Of Fourth Of July Fireworks

One week after rocking America with an apparent hard launch of their relationship, WNBA rookie Kate Martin and Iowa girlfriend Claire Gransee are back to stealing the headlines.

And on a holiday weekend, no less! Frankly, I can't think of a better way to celebrate America's 248th birthday, if we're being honest.

Bikini pictures that rock the internet are what our founding fathers envisioned when they declared our independence all those years ago, and I think society has done them proud this week.

We've had Paige Spiranac sending up rockets from the teebox, Cindy Crawford throwing it back to the 1980s with an iconic photoshoot, Nick Saban's daughter enjoying the lake … and now, Kate Martin's new girlfriend, Claire Gransee, dominating a mirror selfie before a big Fourth of July outing in Boston:

Now, some have speculated that there could be trouble in paradise because that is most definitely not Kate Martin in the picture. Not to worry, folks. Kate was off helping the Las Vegas Aces pummel the Washington Mystics, 98-77, on Thursday. Nothing she could do about it. Duty calls, as they say.

Now, did Kate have a great game while Claire was back in Boston turning on all of America? Not particularly. She finished with one rebound, one assist and a whopping zero points in nearly 15 minutes. Not great.

Oh well. Maybe she's hitting the rookie wall. Who knows?

Anyway, that shouldn't affect what's quickly become America's next big love story. They first popped up on our radar about 10 days ago, and it's been a rocket ship to the top ever since.

In perfect 2024 fashion, the internet discovered Kate and Claire were an item via TikTok:

America quickly put two and two together, and we were hooked. The comments came fast and furious, and it was a rollercoaster. Some fans were thrilled. Others were horrified. Most, like me, were just here for the #content.

Regardless, it was a doozy of a way to end June, and a great way to start July. Can't wait to see what's next.
