Wild Brawl Outside A Bar Leads To The Arrest Of More Than Half A Dozen Women, Sends An Officer To The Hospital

A wild brawl outside a South Carolina bar last weekend led to at least seven women being arrested and an officer being hospitalized.  It all went down in front of the Two Keys Tavern in Goose Creek, South Carolina around 11:30 pm on Saturday night.

Dashcam footage from a Goose Creek Police Department officer's vehicle shows a large group of people in a fight on the sidewalk in front of the bar.  As the officer arrives on the scene, the action spills off of the sidewalk and into the street.

Heavily outnumbered, the officer exits his vehicle and tries to break up the fight.  There's a good chunk of the video that is blurred out due to the nudity of the brawl participants, which is always an indication that there's some decent punching, clawing, and kicking taking place.

One of the women in the middle of the action is pulled to the ground and the officer seemingly decides that he's going to make things easy on himself.  So he jumps on her while the fighting continues around him.

While struggling to keep her on the ground and place her in cuffs, some of the women - in various stages of undress - who are also involved in the fighting get close to his official police business.

For reasons only known to the officer, he attempts to grab another of the women while still holding the first woman down on the ground.  This wasn't the best idea.  The second woman isn't interested in complying and, as soon as she's able to, she gets up and runs away.

Getting Into A Brawl In Front Of A Bar Is One Way To Liven Up A Saturday Night

The officer hops up, grabs his taser and tries to give chase.  He only makes it a few feet before he collapses on the sidewalk.  The excitement of the moment and having his legs bent for a couple of minutes before trying to run earned him a trip to the hospital.

Thankfully, the officer's backup arrived shortly after he suffered what turned out to be a blood pressure-related incident related to restricted blood flow and adrenaline.

Now it seems from the dashcam video that the bad guys won this one.  The officer went down, the ladies he was trying to detain fled the scene.  They did not.

Not only did several of the women involved have their outfits ruined, and their wigs pulled off, but seven women, all in their 20s, were arrested.

According to the Goose Creek Police Department, they all face disorderly conduct charges, with five women also being charged with resisting/assaulting police.  Now that's a night out with the girls.

The officer involved has been cleared to return to duty and has hopefully learned to take one person into custody at a time before backup arrives.

There weren't any details provided as to what set off the wild brawl, but you can put money on the fact that it was over something of the utmost importance.  You know, a spilled drink or something along those lines.
