What A Dump! Airplane Bathroom Door Breaks Open Mid-Flight In Sloppy Mess

Airplane passengers not only have to worry about their flights taking off and landing safely these days, but also what kind of chaos they'll experience once they're in the sky.

In the latest example of today's "You've got to be kidding me" airline madness, another flight had an issue with their onboard restroom. Whereas I've reported in recent months about people being locked IN the toilet - including one person who became injured while the plane tried landing because the flight crew couldn't open the door, earlier this week a Cathy Pacific flight from Hong Kong to New York had a problem in the other direction - the door completely broke off!

FLIGHT CREW TRIED FIXING DOOR AFTER IT FELL OFF BUT COULDN'T

Just a few minutes into the flight, passengers and flight attendants heard a number of sounds before the bathroom door flew open and broke off the hinges. It's unclear if anyone was sitting on the toilet at that exact moment but talk about a crappy situation if they were! Photos acquired by the New York Post show flight attendants trying to fix the toilet door before eventually giving up as one unamused crew member had the lovely job of holding the door against the wall as she sat down.

The long, 16-hour flight eventually landed safely, while Cathy Pacific says they are investigating the engineering mishap.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY IS IN THE DUMPS

I don't know what has happened in recent months on airplanes, but I can tell you this - it STINKS.

Between the absolute mess that Boeing is to multiple incidents of wheels falling off jets, engines catching fire, and not to mention when an entire panel of a plane just happened to fall off in Final Destination fashion, flying has become a strenuous activity. Earlier this year, Boeing planes had six major flight malfunctions in just 10 days - not exactly a stellar record when you're 25,000 feet in the air.

But more importantly, they need to get the bathroom situation fixed. Otherwise, we're going to have more situations with people going in the middle of the aisles - which also, has started to happen a lot more! We need to get this under control for the sake of our eyes and our noses.
