Tiny Dog Tries To Fight Pitbull And Wisconsin Basketball Disaster | Weekend Recap

Another awesome weekend is in the books, and we all know what time it is:

Time for another great OutKick Weekend Recap.

As I've said far too many times to count at this point, I can't thank you all enough for the participation since we started this project in 2023.

The OutKick family has been excellent when it comes to giving everyone a look at your daily lives. It's been wildly fun, entertaining and fascinating and you can also contribute at David.Hookstead@outkick.com

Now, my girlfriend is, once again, out saving the world and that left me with OutKick's official mascot Dusty. Usually, it's not a big issue. Is he like my old dog Jake? No, but he's not too bad…..except when he tries to fight pitbulls. That's exactly what he tried to do early Saturday morning. Dusty is 12 pounds soaking wet. Twelve pounds, and he's out here trying to mix it up with pitbulls - a breed I personally can't stand (email me and I'll tell you some horror stories). I love the grit and spirit. Not sure I love the lack of common sense from Dusty.

If Dusty trying to fight a pitbull wasn't bad enough, I had to suffer through another horrible Wisconsin loss. That's now five losses in the team's last six games.

I was amped and excited to watch the Badgers play the Hawkeyes over a few cold beers at Dirty Water. After all, my girlfriend played for Iowa before going pro. Yes, my girlfriend is a retired pro athlete. Don't make a big deal about it.

Instead of winning, Wisconsin decided to throw the game away in embarrassing fashion. I seriously can't stomach losing to the Hawkeyes. Everyone in Iowa wants to be like us in Wisconsin. They spend all day thinking about us and we don't spend one second thinking about them.

Losing to Iowa is like losing to your idiot little cousin. It's absolutely humiliating. Welcome to my life as a Wisconsin fan.

OutKick readers celebrate the weekend.

Now, let's get into what the OutKick readers are up to. As usual, you all didn't disappoint at all! I have to lead with this response from Scott.

He's at Hogs and Heifers in Las Vegas - an absolutely amazing bar that might be the best in Sin City. We now have OutKick readers visiting bars based on my recommendations. Trust me when I say I don't carry this banner lightly. With great power comes great responsibility. I hope like hell Scott and his friends enjoyed it.

I can't wait to get back and crack open a few cold ones next time I'm in Vegas.

Shoutout to this guy's family for taking the kids for the weekend so he could cut loose. You simply love to see it. Also, staycations are criminally underrated. We should endorse more.

This OutKick reader is starting his son young when it comes to baseball. We support it.

Speaking of youth sports, we also have a little wrestling action.

This weather isn't exactly ideal if you're hoping to tear up a golf course. I also got smacked with some snow in Washington, D.C. this weekend, and I'm not happy about it!

Fortunately, we did have some readers hit the course this weekend, unlike John.

Here's some more snow content! Not sure anyone is super happy about it.

I wish I had some more details because this sounds awesome. I didn't realize OutKick readers could shred like this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Nobody does food like the OutKick audience does. This steak looks INCREDIBLE.

While David might not have made this food, nothing beats great Mexican food. Nothing. I eat tacos at least once a week, and I suggest you do the same!

Who is ready for a little more food content?

I can't tell if this guy is serious or not, but I got a good chuckle out of this plan.

Nothing beats a great dog. As I've said before, never in human history have the words "We're about to get in a massive gunfight, go get some cats to help us" ever been spoken.

Dogs remain undefeated.

Here's some more dog content to enjoy!

As someone who has dealt with back pain, my thoughts are with this person.

Bill watched Nebraska absolutely hammer Penn State. I respect the hell out of the program being built in Lincoln.

I've never been to Hawaii, but I've learned since starting the Weekend Recap that there's a healthy amount of OutKick readers there. It looks beautiful. I might have to make a trip.

I love this. I did the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky a few years back. Bourbon isn't really my thing, but it was an interesting experience I'm glad I participated in.

Yikes, stay safe down in Florida. I had no idea it was getting some very heavy rain.

It's always a good time to spend some time in nature.

As I often say, it's always a good time to get right with God.

Unfortunately, some people do have to work on the weekends (including myself as I grind out this content for all you guys!), and I respect this guy's hustle.

I don't know what this is, but I'm sold!

Nothing better than relaxing on the beach, especially as D.C. battles a cold front at the moment.

That's a wrap on this week. Make sure to check back next week for a new Weekend Recap!
