'View' Guest Bakari Sellers Accuses Clay Travis And Ben Shapiro Of Being Stupid And 'Monetizing Hate'

Former Democrat South Carolina State Representative Bakari Sellers appeared on "The View" Wednesday and accused Clay Travis and Ben Shapiro of "monetizing hate."

Sellers says Travis and Shapiro were not intelligent enough to have honest conversations, so they became millionaires by "promulgating fears."

The co-hosts of The View, particularly Whoopi Goldberg, nodded along in agreement:

"Even with my lowly intellectual capacity, I would go on The View and have a debate with the host," Clay said in a follow-up post on X.

"Would be incredible TV. Given my intelligence was just directly attacked by name on their show, it seems only fair to allow me on and let their audience decide what to think of me."

Last month, Sellers tweeted about Clay in defense of South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley not answering a question about whether men should be able to compete in women’s sports.

"I think @ClayTravis needs to realize, @dawnstaley is literally better than him at life," said Sellers.

"Objectively she’s great, and you’ve been relegated to a troll who must attempt to stoke culture wars. Clay, have you ever asked yourself, "what will i be remembered for?" The answer right now, is a bad haircut on Fox every so often. Do better, my guy."

Clay did not address who is better at life between him and Staley. Rather, he asked Sellers where he stands on the trans athletes debate.

"Bakari, do you believe that men should be able to play women’s sports and win women’s championships? Yes or no? It’s a simple question, don’t dodge it. You can personally attack me all you want, but that’s just an attempt to change the subject.

"Yes or no, answer it."

Ben Shapiro has since responded, offering to debate Sellers and the ladies on "The View."

"Hey, @theview, would love to come on to discuss. It’ll be tough, but I’m ready to take on this extraordinary intellectual challenge," Shapiro said on X.

Fair.

We hope "The View" takes Shapiro and Clay up on their offers.
