Video: Venice Boardwalk Brawl Broken Up When Pedicab Driver Ran Into The Brawlers With His Bike

A cowboy hat-wearing pedicab driver played the role of hero this week when he saw a brawl taking place on the Venice Boardwalk.

Instead of pulling out his phone to record the action, he jumped into the middle of it to break it up.  His entrance into the brawl is a legendary one.

While the shirtless brawlers are entertaining the crowd that has gathered to watch, the pedicab driver runs right into them with his bike.  He then hops off and separates the two.

The brawlers look like they've had enough and being run into by a pedicab likely contributed to their willingness to go their separate ways.

The pedicab driver, who moved to Los Angeles to be a pop singer, spoke with FOX 11 about his decision to slam into the brawlers and break up the fight.

Zachory Foster, a driver for Beach Buggy said, "The guy’s head was bouncing off the concrete.  I think I accidentally hit both of them.  Sorry guys, I didn’t mean to hurt you."

"Men with their families [were] right there," he continued.  "They’re just watching this happen.  It’s disgusting to me.  It makes me sick.  That’s why, I’m always the type of person to step in."

Some Heroes Wear Capes. This Pedicab Driver Hero Wears A Cowboy Hat.

Foster himself was recently on the receiving end of some violence when he was jumped and beaten while at work.  That attack left him bruised and suffering from a concussion, but it didn't do anything to his balls of steel.

He's not going to sit back and watch, even while still being in concussion protocol.  This pop singer, cowboy hat wearing, pedicab driver is a man of action.

"I got a really bad concussion," said Foster.  "I’m still suffering some of the symptoms, and it’s been like three weeks.  It makes me anxious to be around here.  It makes me anxious to have a bunch of kids out here, completely unable to defend themselves.  And there’s people shooting up, doing meth, running around beating on each other."

I'm with our fearless hero here.  More people should step in when a guy is getting his head bounced off the concrete.  But the cowards with their cameras out serve a valuable role as well.

That role is capturing moments like this one.  A moment when, out of nowhere, a pedicab driver runs breaks up a brawl by running over those involved.
