Two FDA Vaccine Specialists Resign, Immediately Publish Booster Doubts

Two longtime FDA officials specializing in vaccines have resigned from the oft-maligned agency, citing wariness about the efficacy and need for booster shots, per a jointly-authored paper in The Lancet (a weekly peer-reviewed medical journal.)

Marion Gruber, the director of the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research and Review, and Phil Krause, Gruber’s deputy director, wrote that recipients of vaccines with low efficacy or those who are immunocompromised might need a booster, but the general public doesn’t need one yet, and the risks of another shot of a COVID-19 vaccine should not be casually dismissed.

Gruber and Krause, joined by 16 other doctors, wrote:

“Although the benefits of primary COVID-19 vaccination clearly outweigh the risks, there could be risks if boosters are widely introduced too soon, or too frequently, especially with vaccines that can have immune-mediated side-effects (such as myocarditis, which is more common after the second dose of some mRNA vaccines, or Guillain-Barre syndrome, which has been associated with adenovirus-vectored COVID-19 vaccines). If unnecessary boosting causes significant adverse reactions, there could be implications for vaccine acceptance that go beyond COVID-19 vaccines. Thus, widespread boosting should be undertaken only if there is clear evidence that it is appropriate… Current evidence does not appear to show a need for boosting in the general population, in which efficacy against severe disease remains high. Even if humoral immunity appears to wane, reductions in neutralizing antibody titre do not necessarily predict reductions in vaccine efficacy over time, and reductions in vaccine efficacy against mild disease do not necessarily predict reductions in the (typically higher) efficacy against severe disease.”

So how will the mainstream media attempt to smear these two for their nuanced, dissenting opinion to the megalithic status quo? After all, simple minds will undoubtedly press the Biden administration for answers as to why it hasn’t fulfilled its promise of “shutting down” the pandemic, and at this point the only “action” the government can point to is the introduction of new boosters. Therefore, to maintain clear messaging throughout the leftist party, boosters must be exalted and the media must play along, regardless of the science.

In many ways, though, the pandemic falls at the feet of the very institutions that currently claim to be “saving lives,” like the FDA. They’ve raised multiple generations on processed foods, dyes, pesticides, soft drinks, and alcohol at every turn, always siding with big lobby groups instead of legitimate human health initiatives. And now, facing a true human health pandemic of unprecedented proportions (at least in their own minds), they wonder why so many doubt their expertise.

It's time to follow Gruber and Krause's lead, and break free from the shackles of government bureaucracy that speaks out of both sides of its mouth. Your health is uniquely yours and yours alone. It cannot and will not be properly shepherded by an institution that specializes in volume, rather than individual needs.
