TV Newscaster Attacked By Naked Woman With Brick While On Air
If you're looking to drive up your television ratings, it probably doesn't hurt to be attacked by a naked woman carrying a brick while the show is live.
That's what happened on one Romanian channel, as noted by Newsweek.
"Mirela Vaida, the presenter of Access Direct, a news show on the Romanian broadcast network Antenna 1, was in the middle of a live segment on March when the woman came charging at her," Newsweek wrote.
All of this took place in the middle of a live broadcast -- for all the world to see. And the video shows that Vaida stopped in the middle of her sentence, presumably on some other topic. Then she looked terrified. Then she screamed. Then she backed away as the naked lady chucked the brick.
"The shot then pans out and a completely naked woman can be seen running rapidly towards the presenter holding something up in her hand," Newsweek wrote. "While Vaida backs off, the woman throws the object at Vaida—who manages to dodge out of the way before it crashes to the ground."
Eventually, the nude brick-thrower was overpowered by a cameraman and members of the production crew. In all, it reportedly took six people to subdue the woman.
"I am just in shock," Vaida told her viewers after the incident. "I make a great effort to stay calm. I was attacked right when I entered the set."
No word on why the woman wanted to attack Vaida, how she got in the building, or why she chose to do it all in the raw.
"The woman has been taken to Obregia Hospital, a psychiatric hospital in Bucharest, where she will undergo examination," Newsweek reported.
