True Romance: Gold Digger Married Older Man, Mom Fantasizes About Daughter's Husband & Supernatural Soulmates
Welcome to the latest edition of True Romance With SeanJo. If you missed last week's edition, don't worry, you can get all caught up on all that went down last week true romance related here.
This week we take a look at a gold digger who started dating an older man for money, but ultimately ended up finding love with her now husband.
Did she have to spend time as the other woman first? She did, but she made it out the other end and has found what most are after.
Now that's true romance and that's just the beginning of what is going to be covered. We're going to take a look at a married mom who can't stop fantasizing about her daughter's husband, a couple of supernatural soulmates and a couple who held a swingers party at their wedding.
If you have a true romance story that's anything but cookie cutter or want to weigh in on anything that's covered week in and week out, I want to hear from you sean.joseph@outkick.com.
Let's dive right in with a woman who was, partially anyway, attracted to the cash but ended up finding love with her now husband. It's the kind of story that has been around forever.
Gold digger found love with husband after dating him for money
Former model Carla Bellucci, now 42, has made a few headlines over the years in Britain. The headlines have earned her the title of "Britain's most hated woman."
With the attention have come trolls who accuse her of marrying a man 13 years older than she is just for the money. That's not the case at all according to her.
Although she does admit to being a bit of a gold digger when they first got together.
"At the outset, I’ll admit I indulged in the perks and enjoyed the luxuries, traveling the world and being pampered," Carla tells Need To Know. "But now, it’s genuine."
"People make outrageous claims, likening him to my father and hurling hurtful remarks my way. They insinuate I have ‘daddy issues’ due to the 13-year age gap," she continued.
"Frankly, I fail to see what the fuss is about, but I’m confident in my choice."
Getting into a relationship for financial reasons, enjoying the perks of wealth, and marrying for money are completely different things. She found love during their 10-year affair.
This sounds a lot like trolls who are jealous that she was able to have her cake and eat it too.
So, her now husband has thrown more than $25,000 towards her expenses, and made an initial investment in a house for her. That's on top of the weekly clothing purchases, the fine dining, and global travel.
Carla doesn't feel guilty about how their affair started or the fact that there's a chance she might have been interested initially in the money. She said, "I have zero guilt."
Why would she? She's a happily married woman who has found love. That and the couple frequently spend time in places like Barcelona, Marbella, and even a month in Ecuador annually.
What do people want from her: an apology? You can't apologize for taking a chance and heading down a path that leads you to finding love.
That's out of her hands. Fate took over and guided her. There's no reason to give in to the haters. Not when romance is on the line.
Married mom can't stop fantasizing about daughter's husband
From one woman who got into a relationship for all the wrong reasons, but managed to win in the end to a woman who could be letting love pass right on by.
A 46-year-old married mom confessed that she can't stop fantasizing about her daughter's 26-year-old husband. She claims to be happily married, but wouldn't mind hopping in bed with her son-in-law.
Now that makes for some interesting family gatherings. Mom has to take a cold shower and lie down afterward, I'm sure.
"I am happily married and I love my daughter. But I would give anything to be able to jump my son-in-law's bones. He just checks all of my boxes both physically and personally," the mom said.
Aggressive, but that's what falling for someone can do to people. It's not mom's fault. This guy has a dad bod and is funny. That's a tough combination to resist. She's doing her best to keep it all together here.
"He's stocky with a dad bod like my husband and he is so funny. I have never thought of myself of the type but if I had met him and I were single I would have been all over him," the horned up mom continued.
These are simply fantasies. She's a happily married woman who would never cross the line. Now if her husband and daughter, in some alternate universe, gave her permission, that's a different story.
"I'm sorry I just had to get this off my chest," she added. "I would never do anything like that to my daughter or my husband but he doesn't make it easy."
Now that's a mom who cares. She's going to sacrifice what could be a shot at connecting with her soulmate for the sake of her husband and daughter.
This is why moms are among the true heroes. I'd like to see her shoot her shot, but she's quite obviously got a better grasp on self-control than I expect of people.
Supernatural soulmates
Speaking of soulmates, a woman found hers one night when a Welsh man in a red coat offered to walk her home. The two have been together ever since.
33-year-old Rebekah Carmichael is in a relationship with a ghost from the Revolutionary War. That might sound crazy to some, but not to this hopeless romantic.
This is a story of love at first haunting. The type that fills the heart with joy. Rebekah moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2018 and eventually started working as a ghost guide.
One night, while giving a tour, she felt a presence nearby. It wasn't until her walk home that night that he would reveal himself. He called out, she says, and that's when she met him.
"I look around and I see the outline of a man and at a time he looked really sickly," Rebekah told The Sun. "I saw him wearing a red coat and he asked me if I had an escort to go home because it was like 10 pm and I was walking alone."
The quiet and awkward spirit walked her home and the two quickly bonded. She later discovered through research that his name was Rupert, and he was a Welsh man stationed in North Carolina during the Revolutionary War.
It turns out, according to Rupert, that Rebekah was married to him in a past life. They had found each other again. I should have warned you ahead of time that this one was a tearjerker.
Although, to be fair to me, supernatural soulmates is a fairly decent warning. But surprisingly, this love story doesn't end there. There's a third wheel. That's right, a polyamorous ghost relationship.
That's a turn I didn't see coming. I thought we were going to get the boring old love at first haunting then the ghost and his soulmate live a happily ever after, boring existence. Not a chance.
Rebekah ended up meeting Katharyn, who also possesses psychic tendencies - because of course she does, online in 2020. The two bonded over their mutual love of all things paranormal.
Their friendship progressed and then, after two years, they started dating. Now they're in a big happy relationship. Just a woman, her ghost boyfriend/soulmate, and her girlfriend.
Man, I need a little of whatever they're having.
Couple has a swingers party at their wedding
Now that was truly going wherever romance takes me. Let's get back to a more "normal" relationship. Like this married couple in Australia decided to have a swingers party at their wedding.
Will and Dee met on Tinder a few years ago and were a fit for one another out of the gate. After a year of dating, the couple thought it would be a good idea to start exploring the world of non-monogamy.
"When we first got together we made a list of all the things that we want to try. It's very important to keep the sex life active, Will said on the show Love Don't Judge. "We decided to take the plunge."
The two are now pros and have been with over 100 people at various swinging events, some of which they organize. Last year, Will and Dee took their lifestyle to OnlyFans.
"We ended up actually falling into it", Dee said. "It was one of those things that we figured, we are doing it all anyway and filming it for ourselves, so why not make some money off it?"
That turned out to be a smart move. They're happier than ever and the key to their success is communication. They have one rule they follow when they swing. They must be in the same room together when they interact with others.
Obviously, taking their talents online opened them up to criticism. But these two are full steam ahead on the love train and even planned a swingers party for their wedding.
That's how you silence haters right there. There's nothing like being able to do the things you love with the people you love. This couple is in for a good 50 or 60 year run.
Will they swing that entire time? God willing they will.
Woman's friend starts dating her husband
• Rob L from writes:
I married my best friend's ex. We've been married for nearly 26 years.
SeanJo:
This is in reference to last week's story about a woman who had recently separated from her husband of 20 years. She had a friend who was already making the moves on her husband despite the fact that she hadn't even fully moved out.
I tried to get some more info from Rob here, but he went silent after offering up his nugget. So the questions remain and Rob answered one here about whether it's appropriate to date a friend's ex.
His answer is yes, but did he wait? If he did wait to start dating his now wife, how long is the proper amount of time?
That's enough romance for this week's edition. Let me know what you think. Send me your stories and comments at sean.joseph@outkick.com, and we'll do it again next Thursday.
