Travis Kelce Claims Secret Service Threatened To Tase Him

Travis Kelce wants people to believe Secret Service was ready to hit him with a taser during his White House visit this year.

Kelce and the Chiefs were at the White House last week to celebrate winning another Super Bowl, and it was a fun time all around.

In fact, President Biden even invited the star tight end up to the podium as a callback to Kelce jokingly walking up to the podium last year.

In front of the media Kelce claimed Secret Service would taser him if he stuck around. It seemed like a joke. Kelce wants people to now believe it wasn't.

Travis Kelce claims Secret Service was ready to tase him.

"When I walked in, we had about four or five Secret Service members come up to me and tell me, ‘You know if you go up to that podium we’re authorized to tase you…It is actually an order for us to tase you,'" Kelce claimed on the latest episode of "New Heights."

Kelce immediately doubled down during the talk with his brother and added the mindset seemed to, "It's going to happen if you touch that f*cking podium, son."

"That’s all that was going through my head. I had no idea that President Biden was going to ask me to come up and let me have my moment. I had no idea…I felt a taser aimed at me when I was up there the whole time," the three-time Super Bowl champion further elaborated.

You can watch his comments starting around 31:00 below. It's absurd.

I don't believe a single word of this from Travis Kelce.

Is it possible a couple agents made a joke to Travis Kelce? Sure. That might have happened. Was Secret Service going to deploy actual weapons and force against a football player at a White House Super Bowl celebration? Not a chance in hell.

Here's how I know he's full of it. I've met President Biden twice (always meet the President no matter who it is), shook his hand and briefly exchanged thoughts at a pair of different White House events. It was a casual setting, and while Secret Service was in the room with me, at no point did they do anything to suggest it was a serious situation. All I was told to do was to not reach quickly for anything I might have in my pockets. In fact, the situation was so laid back they were serving alcohol both times.

So, I'm supposed to believe Secret Service viewed Travis Kelce as a legitimate threat and made it clear they would tase him if he got close to the podium? There is zero percent chance that would ever happen. Zero. The PR disaster alone would get people fired.

That means Travis Kelce is just making this up or (the more likely explanation) he doesn't understand humor. Either way, there is a zero percent chance Secret Service would ever smoke a football player for walking near the podium. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

P.S.: I did once have a Secret Service agent grab me pretty forcefully back in 2015 or 2016 when he asked what I had in my pocket and I reached for my headphones. Dude thought he was Rambo, but no harm, no foul.
