Travis Kelce Gets Emotional After Taylor Swift Sings Him A Love Song, Brittany Mahomes Comforts Him
Like a good boyfriend, Travis Kelce has gone to many of Taylor Swift’s concerts, especially on the Eras Tour. But there have been very few (if any) in which he’s teared up.
All of that changed earlier this week at the Amsterdam, Netherlands concert.
During the performance, Swift sang a mash-up of several songs that moved Kelce to tears. It wasn’t just an ordinary mashup of songs either, most of the lyrics appeared to be directly related to Kelce.
The first such indication came when she sang "Mary’s Song," in which you hear this line:
"You’ll be 87, I’ll be 89. I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine. In the sky, oh my my my."
If you are familiar with either of these people at all, you’ll know that Kelce wears No. 87 for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Swift was born in the year 1989. Coincidence? Probably not.
The next hint about this mashup really being a love song was that Swift incorporated the lyrics to "So High School" off her "Tortured Poets Department," another song many believe to be about Kelce. Additionally, she sang the lyrics to "Everything Has Changed" in the mashup.
All of this prompted Kelce to shed a few tears. Brittany Mahomes, who was there with her husband Patrick (the latter of whom attended his first Swift concert), comforted Kelce.
Quite frankly, I doubted that these two would still be in love this far down the road in their relationship. But if Swift was willing to sing that long of a love song for Kelce, that’s a great sign.
And in all honesty, good for them. Celebrity relationships often don’t last that long, and I’m glad theirs has.
