Top Chef Host Padma Lakshmi Launched A Lingerie Line For Those With Larger Cup Sizes

Padma Lakshmi took a look around at the lingerie industry and, having experienced some growth of her own when it came to her cup size, found that it was difficult to find items that were both pretty and comfortable.  So she did something about it.

The 53-year-old Top Chef star said she's gone from a 34C to 36DD cup size over the years.  In order to address the issues she ran into with her larger boobs, she launched her own lingerie line called Padma X Bare Necessities.

"I’ve always wanted to do a lingerie line," Padma revealed during an interview about her new line, reports the Daily Mail.  "I’ve spent a lot of my modeling life wearing different types of lingerie, and it’s hard to find something that’s comfortable but still pretty."

The struggle for those with larger cup sizes is over.  There's a hero in lingerie changing the game.  Padma jumped on this opportunity to team up with Bare Necessities because she was going to be able to give those with larger cup-sized bras an option that is pretty.

Is that too much to ask?  The answer is quite obviously no.  This line is specifically designed with the well-endowed in mind and comes with the promise of versatility.

"I hope this collection makes you not only look good but feel good,"  Padma added.  "I hope that my selection is versatile and makes women feel not only like they have something pretty and special on, but that it’s functional."

Padma Lakshmi Could Have Folded, She Decided To Embrace Her Changes

If you're getting older, and you find that somehow, you're not exactly being robbed of your youth but that more blessings have been sent your way, Padma knows how you feel.  She's in the same boat and she is here for you.

"I hope that everybody enjoys the lingerie, but I designed it for women who might be a little more well-endowed," the reality TV star said.  "As I have aged, I’ve found that my breasts have gotten bigger, and if you have a bigger bust, often you don’t get enough coverage."

While the growth in her boobs was unexpected, she's done the noble thing and embraced it.  Now she's able to do so without sacrificing comfort, which has become more of a priority as she's gotten older.

"As I’ve aged, I’ve needed more support; my breasts have gotten bigger, and my hips have gotten curvier," says Padma.  "And I prize comfort more than I used to.  When I was young, I didn’t mind wearing uncomfortable things to look good, but now I’m not willing to do that as easily."

That's good news with 50 now being the new insert whatever younger age here.  She has a lot of years of comfortable lingerie wearing ahead of her.
