Tony's Diner Booth From Infamous 'Sopranos' Finale Sells For Over $80K

(Caution: spoilers ahead for a two-decade-old show)

If you haven't watched "The Sopranos," then you're probably wondering how a diner booth could sell for over $80,000.

After six seasons of watching New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano run from the law and elude vengeful gangsters, his ‘toxic’ deeds all caught up to him in the finale, "Made In America" — one of the most polarizing series finales aired on American television.

The screen cuts to black as Tony enjoys onion rings, sitting with his wife and son as his daughter, Meadow, runs into the restaurant late after a bad parallel parking job. As she arrives, Tony looks up, and just like that, the series is over.

What's the matter … did Tony get whacked?

The infamous final scene made the dining location, Holsten's Diner in Bloomfield, NJ, popular.

And nearly 17 years after the finale aired (June 10, 2007), the booth where Tony (assumedly) died went up for auction and sold for $82,600.

Oh, madonne!

The restaurant decided to split with the red booth, putting it up on eBay for auction, after going through so much wear-and-tear. Holsten's had the booth installed in 1973. The diner's co-owner, Christopher Carley, said that the booth had become a popular tourist destination since the show's finale. But the piece went past the point of repair.

Carley told the post, "If I didn’t have to do it, I wouldn’t be doing it."

Viewed as a piece of television history — appearing in the final scene of the undisputed GOAT TV show — the booth received 238 bids, relayed by The Washington Post.

The ambiguous ending became a popular topic of debate after The Sopranos' historic run on HBO.

As did the diner and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" which played right up until the screen cut to black and audiences were left to wonder if the mysterious man looming in the background of the diner killed Tony.
