Titans Sales Executive Mary-Kate Wichalonis 'Resigns' After Arrest
I have sad news to share.
Newly minted Tennessee Titans sales executive Mary-Kate Wichalonis, who was arrested this month after a wild night on Broadway, tells OutKick that she has decided to "resign" from her "dream job" with the team.
Put it this way, if the Broadway incident never happened, Mary-Kate would still be moving tickets, she's still be using her youthful exuberance and skills learned from her career at the University of Georgia to fill the seats at Nissan Stadium.
Tragically, that's not how this story ended. The two sides decided, after five months on the job that it was time to part ways. Mary-Kate is completely bummed out over how this has played out.
"I’m honestly devastated about all of this. What happened was truly not my character at all. I do appreciate the article you guys put out, it was probably the only positive one," Mary-Kate said via Instagram.
As I wrote last week, this was an opportunity for the Titans to say the hell with it, Mary-Kate got wild on Broadway like so many other women. She admits to sneaking her boyfriend into a Dierks Bentley-themed bar. And there doesn't seem to be any doubt that she struck a security guard in the head.
The problem for Mary-Kate came when she refused to give police her fingerprints. According to the arrest report, the now-former ticket executive qualified for a "citation" over the disorderly behavior at the bar, but once she refused the fingerprint request, Mary-Kate took a ride to the county jail.
The mugshot was taken. The report was filed and the walls came crumbling down for this recent college grad when Scoop Nashville, which specializes in Nashville mugshots, got its hands on her arrest report.
Now what?
Mary-Kate doesn't have a concrete plan, but she's ready to rebuild her life after losing her first NFL job.
"I have my lease here in Nashville, so as of right now I’m staying and looking for a job either here or back at home in Atlanta with a lesson learned," she added.
Read those words, interns and soon-to-be-college grads.
It can all be taken from you over one night getting loose on Broadway.
