Upcoming Biker Gang Movie With Stacked Cast Looks Awesome
"The Bikeriders" looks like it might be one of the best movies of the summer.
The plot of the highly-anticipated movie with Austin Butler and Tom Hardy is described as follows:
Inspired by Danny Lyon’s iconic book of photography, "The Bikeriders" immerses you in the look, feel, and sounds of the bare-knuckled, grease-covered subculture of ’60s motorcycle riders. Kathy (Comer), a strong-willed member of the Vandals who’s married to a wild, reckless bikerider named Benny (Butler), recounts the Vandals’ evolution over the course of a decade, beginning as a local club of outsiders united by good times, rumbling bikes, and respect for their strong, steady leader Johnny (Hardy). Over the years, Kathy tries her best to navigate her husband’s untamed nature and his allegiance to Johnny, with whom she feels she must compete for Benny’s attention. As life in the Vandals gets more dangerous, and the club threatens to become a more sinister gang, Kathy, Benny and Johnny are forced to make choices about their loyalty to the club and to each other.
Does that get your imagination and creative juices flowing? Well, it most certainly should. A behind the scenes look at the movie was recently released, and it will only send expectations soaring even higher.

"The Bikeriders" with Austin Butler looks great.
As I've said before when talking about this movie, there's something about biker gangs that just seem to fascinate people.
That's why "Sons of Anarchy" was such a smashing success years ago on FX. Biker gangs are as American as apple pie and Pepsi.
Now, I'm not condoning any illegal activities they might engage in, but facts are facts. People are intrigued and interested in the culture that surrounds biker gangs.
"Sons of Anarchy" was a monster hit, and it looks like "The Bikeriders" will have a similar vibe when it premieres June 21.
Unlike "SOA," the movie with Austin Butler and Tom Hardy focuses on a biker gang in the 1960s instead of the present day. It appears there's a major nostalgic factor to the film. Say no more. Feel free to take the money out of my wallet right now.
Also, what an insane run Austin Butler has been on. He's starred in "Elvis," "Dune: Part Two," and "Masters of the Air" all within the past two years. Now, he has "The Bikeriders" coming out in June and multiple other major projects in the works. The man is becoming an absolute star.
"The Bikerriders" hits theaters June 21, and I can't wait. Let me know your thoughts on the movie at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
