Is Taylor Swift A Good Role Model For Young Women? Jason Kelce Weighs In

Jason Kelce isn't going to be the black sheep of a family that may soon include the most popular celebrity in the world.

During Saturday's Pro Bowl festivities down in Orlando, the Super Bowl Champion and recently turned free agent Eagles center was asked about the hysteria that has come over the NFL thanks to his brother's girlfriend Taylor Swift.

JASON KELCE: TAYLOR SWIFT IS A GREAT ROLE MODEL

"The attention's there because the audience wants to see it. If people didn't want to see it, they wouldn't be showing that," Kelce began with a chuckle while speaking with WCMO.

"She's the quintessential artist right now in the world, singer/songwriter, immensely talented, an unbelievable role model for young women across the globe. So I think the NFL would probably be foolish not to show her and be a role model for all the young girls out there," he continued.

Sounds like Jason wants Taylor to make a cameo on his next music album with praise like that! I would love to know what he would have said if Taylor's attitude was more like Queen Annoying herself Brittany Mahomes. Would he still come to her defense for the sake of his younger brother Travis?

IT'S THE SWIFT BOWL

Jason Kelce's comments about Taylor Swift shouldn't come as a surprise. It's true that Taylor hasn't really been involved in any negative drama throughout her career. She hasn't pulled off a Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan circa mid 2000's yet, although that would be hilarious. If anything, it's almost that she's a little too polished where everything has to be completely perfect. (Another reason that I think some people can't stand her - she's like Alex Rodriguez in that aspect to some people. Talented, but just comes across as too much.)

However, as we've seen in growing months and as I predicted when they first started hanging out, it was only a matter of time until many football fans would turn on Taylor Swift. My argument was simple: NFL fans tune into the games to watch sports and to getaway from everything else. If they wanted to know every single thing about Swift then they would turn on E! or read tabloids, not a Sunday football game.

But what we have seen is that the networks and the NFL are choosing Taylor Swift and the Swifties over the common football fan. Their reasoning is simple and right in front of everyone to see - money. It's no coincidence that Chiefs games have had extremely high ratings - including 24 million people tuning in to watch them (with Swift in attendance) take on the damn New York Jets of all teams.

JAPANESE EMBASSY HAS RELEASED A STATEMENT ON TAYLOR SWIFT'S UPCOMING SHOWS AMID SUPERBOWL DRAMA

So yes, Taylor Swift is a talented musician and lovely person by all accounts. But it'll be interesting to see if that feeling suddenly changes should she step into the political arena and endorse Joe Biden in the upcoming Presidential election.

Should she do that, she could alienate the other 48-52% of the country that doesn't politically agree. And then you can be sure there will be plenty of people who don't think Swift is a good role model.
