The Internet Is Livid With Taylor Swift Over Celine Dion Interaction

Did Taylor Swift snub Celine Dion?

That's the accusation many are making online after the interaction the two had Sunday night during the Grammy Awards.

Celine Dion surprised people as the presenter of Album of the Year, which went to Swift for "Midnights." Upon receiving the award, the music superstar took it from Dion without exchanging much pleasantries.

She appeared to be in a euphoric state of shock. Can you blame her? However, the moment hasn't made people very happy.

Taylor Swift criticized for snubbing Celine Dion.

X is currently flooded with people downright livid for how Swift handled this interaction. Nothing like people screaming online to get people fired up.

I can't believe I'm in a position to defend Taylor Swift, but here we are. I get paid to tell the truth, and the truth of the matter is people are overreacting in a BIG way.

People are breaking down the footage of this interaction like it's the Zapruder film from the JFK assassination. What should Taylor Swift have done? Should she have brought out some champagne and drank it with Celine Dion - who is battling health issues - or should she maybe have just chatted for a while?

Swift was clearly stunned, excited and overcome with emotions. It's not exactly a scripted moment. Instead of people taking a breath and calming down, they're burning up energy online targeting T-Swift.

Do these two look like people who hate each other? Seriously, do they look like they have malice in their hearts? Not even a little bit, but the internet has to do what it does best: get upset over every tiny thing.

Also, there are few things funnier in life than random people on the internet going after celebrities like they actually know them. I can guarantee you Taylor Swift hasn't spent one second of her life thinking about anyone criticizing her on X. Not one second.

Yet, they'll dedicate time to trashing a person they've never met over *checks notes* a half second exchange with Celine Dion.
