Takeaways From Night Two Of WrestleMania 37

Some might have considered the second night of WrestleMania 37 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa overkill.

Seven MORE matches on top of the seven we already saw Saturday night just didn't have the same impact on the crowd of just over 25,000 fans. It also lacked the energy that Saturday night brought, even though it featured five title matches.

That doesn't mean there weren't some memorable moments, but it was an interesting decision to send most of the crowd away unhappy. Roman Reigns not only successfully defended his Universal Title in a three-way main event, but he pinned BOTH Edge and Daniel Bryan at the same time, something that I've never seen before.

Now, like the start of a brand new season, the company begins anew on Monday night, and the day after Mania always brings some surprises as well as the start of new feuds.

Before all of that, let's go back and look at some takeaways from Sunday's Day Two event and breakdown what could be next in the WWE universe.

Roman Truly 'Reigns'

It's obvious who the real star of the company is after watching what was a very good main event between champ Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan and Edge.

Having Reigns pin both Edge and Bryan at the same time sends a message that, right now, the company belongs to the big Samoan, and that probably won't change anytime soon.

Reigns has earned his spot. He's participated in the main event of five of the last seven WrestleManias, a feat that hasn't been achieved since Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan main-evented eight of the first nine.

Roman's facials and intensity really made for a great main event, and now we will see what challenger might be up next for 'The Head of the Table.'

Wyatt vs Orton - Huh?

The opening match between Bray 'The Fiend' Wyatt and Randy Orton was met with mostly boos from the 25,000 on hand live in Tampa Sunday night.

The feud has been ongoing for over a year, and Orton "burned up" Wyatt a mere three months ago.

Sunday threw another element of surprise in the feud when Alexa Bliss ended up on the top of the Jack in the Box with black ooze coming down her face, which appeared to distract Wyatt and allow Orton to win.

Obviously this is going to continue and will probably still incite plenty of love and hate from fans along the way.

Sheamus and Riddle Deliver

While the main event was the best overall, Sheamus and Riddle probably put on the second best actual wrestling match of the evening.

It seemed that Riddle was on a roll and that he would retain his US Title, but the bookers believed that Sheamus deserved the belt after a Brogue Kick nearly 11 minutes into the match.

It might be a short title reign though, since the company still likes Riddle, who could get the strap right back on RAW on WWE Monday night.

Can Rhea Ripley Rise Up?

The company decided to place the RAW Women's title on Rhea Ripley as she took out Asuka in just over 14 minutes in a match that dragged on far too long.

With that victory and Bianca Belair's win on Saturday, we now have two new ladies champs to start off the new season of WWE television.

The big question is can Ripley step up and deliver like the company thinks she can? It would be great to move on from the likes of Banks, Asuka, Charlotte and Bayley for a while, and let the young generation of ladies take over for a bit.
