Driver With Suspended License Joins Zoom Call Into Court Hearing While Driving

In today's dumbest criminals…

A man with a suspended license decided to join a  Zoom call for his court hearing while he was physically driving a car.

Judge Cedric Simpson’s face went from dumbfounded to shocked to angered all within a matter of seconds as it began to register what exactly defendant Corey Harris was doing. Shockingly, the ordeal went down in Ann Arbor, Mich., and NOT in Florida.

DEFENDANT WAS DOING THE ONE THING HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN!

"Mr Harris, are you driving?" Simpson asked the defendant.

"Actually, I’m pulling into my doctor’s office," Harris responded.

"Okay, so maybe I don’t understand something. This is a driving while license suspended case, and he was just driving, and he didn’t have a license," the Judge asked the public defender in an attempt to make sure that what he thought was happening, actually happening.

"Yes," the public defender responded before then requesting a "court of adjournment" of up to four weeks if the court would allow.

Needless to say, the court did not go through with that request as the judge ordered Harris to turn himself into authorities by the end of the day. No word on who would end up driving the defendant to the police station.

CRIMINALS ARE NOT THE BRIGHTEST

The absurd story is just another brilliant example of anytime you ever ask if someone could really be that dumb, the answer is - yes, yes they can.

The bizarre incident reminds me of a previous story I covered in which a female, who was a wanted fugitive, decided to apply for a job as a police officer. Upon entering the job applicant's name, detectives alerted U.S. Marshals that the woman was in fact a fugitive. When they asked her to come to the station because she had advanced to the next level of the interview process, she was promptly arrested on the spot.

Geniuses. True geniuses.
