'Star Wars' Series Actress Wants To Make White People Cry: FLASHBACK

An old clip of Amandla Stenberg has resurfaced, and it's absolutely brutal.

Stenberg stars in the new "Star Wars" series "The Acolyte" on Disney+, and the press surrounding the show is brutal. Early indications point to it being terrible, but that's hardly the main issue.

Creator Leslye Headland and Stenberg went viral for gleefully bragging about how gay the series is. Just what fans were hoping for.

Who doesn't think of woke nonsense when they think of "Star Wars"? Gone are the days of lightsaber duels and space adventures. Now, it's about whether or not C-3PO is gay and R2-D2 "is a lesbian."

Old interview of Amandla Stenberg goes viral.

Well, the situation has gone from bad to worse after a 2018 interview between Stenberg and Trevor Noah blew up on X Wednesday night.

In the short clip, Stenberg claimed her goal is to make white people cry when promoting the old movie "The Hate U Give."

I had to triple check to make sure this was real because it's that crazy. Give the clip a watch below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

As you'd expect, people weren't impressed at all with the racially-charged comment from the "Star Wars" series actress.

It's amazing that Stenberg thought that this was an acceptable thing to say. As people are pointing out, imagine if a white person went on TV and said in an interview their goal was to make black people cry. They'd never work again.

She said the comments a few years back, and is now the face of Disney's new series. What world are we living in? The casual racism is honestly gross.

It's hard to believe this PR campaign for "The Acolyte" could be going much worse, but I wouldn't rule it out. The reactions on X are brutal, and the audience rating is 32% on Rotten Tomatoes. Go woke, go broke. It's a lesson Disney just can't seem to learn.
