Squatters Have Taken Over Gordon Ramsay's Bar And He Is Livid

A group of squatters has taken over Gordon Ramsay's $16 million pub and the famed chef / reality star is absolutely livid.

Grab the popcorn folks, cause this is going to be a good one.

Media outlet The Sun reports that multiple people moved into Ramsay's "York & Albany" pub, which the reality television host was planning to sell to new owners in a multi-million dollar deal. However, while the bar was shut down during the transition period for the new ownership, the group of squatters bypassed security cameras as well as physical security and were able to break inside. They have since ‘moved in’ and are refusing to leave. And apparently, the police can't do anything about it.

PROFESSIONAL SQUATTERS WON'T LEAVE GORDON RAMSAY'S BAR

"They’ve now boarded themselves in the building and are slowly taking over the place, leaving their crap everywhere and brazenly telling locals this is now their home," one source told the outlet.

British police believe that the squatters are professionals and have even glued many of the locks shut and barricaded the doors with furniture from Ramsay's bar. Meanwhile, The Sun has posted photos showing the squatters absolutely destroying the place - with debris, bottles, clothes and more all over the once famed and immaculate bar and restaurant.

The worst part? Despite Ramsay contacting the police multiple times, they refuse to intervene claiming that it is a "civil matter," similar to what many other homeowners are dealing with here in the United States as the "squatter craze" takes over.

And to prove that we are living in a true bizarro world, the squatters are threatening legal action against the authorities or anyone who tries to enter the premises - claiming that it is now an ‘autonomous zone’ and private property.

They even put a sign on the front door that reads:

'Take notice that we occupy this property and at all times there is at least one person in occupation. That if you attempt to enter by violence or by threatening violence, we will prosecute you … You may receive a sentence of up to six months imprisonment and/or a fine of up to £5,000!".

SQUATTERS CLAIM THEY HAVE RIGHTS

The system truly is broken if people can just take over people's houses and businesses and then not be forced out - something we are seeing more and more of here in the United States. Just last month a woman was arrested for removing squatters from her house in New York - even though she proved it was HER HOUSE1

The only way this miserable situation can work out for Ramsay is if he goes FULL Gordon Ramsay on all of them and makes content out of it and just freaks out on them. Forget ‘Hell’s Kitchen,' I need Ramsay to start a new reality series and call it ‘Squat This!’
