Space Force Officer Relieved Over Anti-Marxism Statement
In space, no one can hear you protest.
According to a Fox Business report, Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier was dismissed from the famed United States Space Force program after making comments rejecting Marxist ideology and challenging standards in the military that have been adjusted according to Critical Race Theory.
Critical Race Theory focuses on rewarding, punishing, and generally acknowledging people by their race rather than their actions.
Lt. Col. Lohmeier’s comments were made on a podcast promoting his book, Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military, where he contests the importance of “defeating systematic racism.”
In an interview with Military.com, the officer expanded on his anti-Marxist sentiments by expressing the importance of keeping the military’s priority focused on actual threats to American democracy. He also warned of the growing threat that Race Theory presents within the USA. "My intent never has been to engage in partisan politics. I have written a book about a particular political ideology (Marxism) in the hope that our Defense Department might return to being politically nonpartisan in the future as it has honorably done throughout history," said Lohmeier.
Thus, it seems that Lieutenant Colonel was dismissed by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who considered prioritizing diversity among senior ranks as a “readiness issue,” in retaliation for his comments.
Lohmeier reflected on the strained relationship between himself and the Secretary: “I don’t demonize the man, but I want to make it clear to both him and every service member this agenda, it will divide us, it will not unify us.” Lohmeier continued, "The diversity, inclusion and equity industry and the trainings we are receiving in the military ... is rooted in critical race theory, which is rooted in Marxism."
The space-based branch of the U.S. Armed Forces was founded in 2019 under the delegation of Donald Trump. However, it first debuted as an addition to the military under the name “Air Force Space Command” in 1982 by President Ronald Reagan.
News of Lohmeier’s dismissal has affected conversations about the United States’ defense systems, including the CIA, which are abandoning actual overseas threat (China, anyone?) in favor of creating a safe space of inclusion for all.
Race, the final frontier.
