Melvyn Downes has lived a crazy life, and he sat down with me to talk all about it.

Downes is a former member of the British SAS, which is one of the world's premier units. Specializing in direct action and counter-terrorism raids, the SAS has a long and storied history of unconventional tactics and methods to get the job done.

The unit is also closely aligned with Delta Force and other American Tier One units and assets. To put it as simply as possible, the SAS is incredibly badass. Melvyn spoke with me about his time in Northern Ireland, Desert Storm, joining the unit in the 1990s, hunting war criminals in Bosnia and fighting in Iraq.
