Sad Kentucky Girl Who Drove The Internet Crazy At NCAA Tourney Has Been Identified

In a true, unmatched, American tradition like no other in this world, a star was born during Kentucky's embarrassing (hilarious) loss to Oakland late Thursday. 

Side note: am I the only one who learned for the first time last night that this particular Oakland is in … Michigan … and not California? Talk about jaw-dropping. 

Makes them way easier to root for. 

Anyway, back to what you're all here for: sad – but hot – girls at college sporting events who get caught on TV being … sad and hot. 

While the Wildcats were melting down and getting stuffed in a locker by Jack Gohlke, one fan was caught looking beyond miserable in the stands. Worse yet, she was all by herself. 

Put two and two together, and you quickly get a new viral fan for the internet to drool over. 

Viral Kentucky fan identified as Madison Sheppard, Reed Sheppard's sister 

That little sad face went internet viral, because America is nothing if not bored and horny on Twitter. 

Luckily, we also have a few smart Patriots on this land too, and they quickly identified this sad Kentucky fan as Madison Sheppard Wigginton, the sister of freshman Kentucky guard Reed Sheppard.

Now, couple things …

One, I can't for the life of me find any social media accounts for Madison, so if that's why you're here, I'm sorry. I don't think she has an Instagram, which is hard to believe in 2024 but I respect it nonetheless.

I CAN tell you that she was an absolute stud in her own right with a basketball in her hands, playing for four years at Campbellsville University. Google tells me she finished with 344 points over three seasons, with 74 steals and 74 assists. 

OK, so not Caitlin Clark numbers, but still a decent little career for the Tigers. 

Anyway, welcome to a pretty illustrious club, Kentucky Madison. You are now part of history, joining legends like JJ McCarthy's fiancée, Masters Girl, sad Ohio State girl, sad Tulane girl, and, of course, the OG – Katherine Webb.
