The Rock's Upcoming Christmas Movie About Santa Being Kidnapped Looks Outrageous: TRAILER

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's upcoming Christmas movie "Red One" sure looks like a wild trip.

The plot of the film with the Hollywood superstar is described as, "After a shocking abduction from the North Pole, the Commander of the E.L.F. Task Force must partner with the world's most infamous bounty hunter to save Christmas."

Does that sound crazy? I can promise that no matter how crazy you might think it is in your mind, the movie looks more over-the-top than what you're imagining after hearing the plot details.

Trailer for "Red One" with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Chris Evans released.

What do we all think about the trailer? It certainly seems like the kind of movie that will be amazingly entertaining or downright awful. There's no middle ground for a movie like this, judging from the trailer.

On one hand, The Rock, Chris Evans and J. K. Simmons, Lucy Liu and Nick Kroll are all very talented actors. It's a hell of a stacked cast.

Generally speaking, a stacked cast is a sign that a movie has a lot of potential.

On the other hand, it looks like one of the most ridiculous movies ever made. "Red One" looks like it was cooked up in the mind of a 13-year-old boy jacked up on Mountain Dew.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. It might be a great thing, but it certainly does make me a little hesitant. Perhaps a story about Santa being kidnapped and needing to be rescued will be the movie none of us realized we needed.

Fans can find out starting November 15. Let me know what you think of the trailer at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
