Pro Boxer & Powerlifter Arrested For Allegedly Hacking Her Ex's Laptop, Posting Nudes Of His New Girlfriend
Professional boxer and powerlifter Stefanie Cohen Margarici, known to her 1 million Instagram followers simply as Stefi Cohen, was arrested earlier this week in Miami.
She's facing multiple charges after being accused of hacking into her ex's laptop and sharing nude pictures of his current girlfriend online for the purpose of "exposing and humiliating her," according to Local 10.
The 32-year-old, who is described as a 25-time world record powerlifter and has a 4-1-1 professional boxing record, was reported to the Miami Police Department by the victim in November.
Police say that Cohen found out that her ex was in a relationship with the victim in March 2022. That same month, according to police, she was able to guess the password to a laptop her ex-boyfriend left at her house.
From there, she is said to have obtained several sexually explicit images of her ex's new girlfriend from his iCloud account. She's then accused of posting the images, without consent, to a group chat that Cohen and the victim were a part of with several other women.
"In one of the messages, Ms. Cohen states she sent the photos maliciously and with the intent to cause emotional distress to (the victim)," the police report states.
Police Say The Pro Boxer And Powerlifter Didn't Go Down Without A Fight
On Tuesday, police say they waited for Cohen to walk out of her house, then moved in to arrest her when she did so. She did not comply when officers told her she was under arrest.
She then told them she wasn’t going with them and started to physically resist officers. Even after being handcuffed she continued to put up a fight. She "right leg hooked" an officer and attempted to "sweep him off his feet."
Cohen wasn't finished mixing it up with officers either after her attempt to leg sweep an officer. She had some damage to unleash on one of the officer's vehicles.
She reportedly "placed her right leg on the latch to unlock the door and grabbed it with her toes," before she "pulled the latch with her toes and intentionally broke the locking system, causing the door not to lock at all."
Cohen appeared in court on Wednesday and was granted a $3,300 bond. For obvious reasons, she was also told to stay away from her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend.
