Post Malone Is Doing Country Music With This Country Great

Post Malone is heading to the country, y'all!

The 10x Billboard Music Award winner known for his No. 1  songs such as "Congratulations," and "Circles," is leaving the rap / alt-rap world to pick up an acoustic guitar and, who knows, maybe even a cowboy hat and a banjo as he delves into the country music world.

And just to show how serious he is about his new venture, he's been working with some MASSIVE artists, including Morgan Wallen, Brad Paisley and, as we found out last night - Luke Combs.

Posty posted an Instagram video of himself listening to and jamming out to one of his upcoming new songs featuring country great Luke Combs - and honestly, I've never seen anyone happier than Malone in this video.

Seriously, just look at how stoked Post Malone is jamming out with the "Fast Car" singer.

POST MALONE AND LUKE COMBS - THE DUO WE NEEDED

The move towards country music shouldn't be that much of a surprise for Malone fans. The guy loves music and has already been able to successfully insert himself in various music genres.

In fact, during a Twitch livestream last November, Posty even told fans that he was going all in on country.

"A country record is coming. I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and it's so f'n sick, but it's not out [yet]," Malone said at the time.

Honestly, if his new country music sounds like that clip he posted with Luke Combs - I'm all about it.

Just last weekend, we got a sense of what Post Malone would sound like in his new genre when he performed "America the Beautiful" at the Super Bowl. And honestly, he crushed it!

MANY ARTISTS ARE TURNING COUNTRY

The thing with country music is that it's essentially become so mainstream that some of it could even be considered "pop." The change in dynamic has allowed for some big opportunities for people like Post Malone, Ed Sheeran and even Beyonce to test the country music world out.

Will it work for every artist that tries to turn country? Absolutely not. The Beyonce move is especially intriguing because I have no idea what to expect with that - or if her fans or even country fans will be into her new sound.

Regardless, that's the beauty about music though. You never know what you're gonna create! And as a listener, you're always able to hear something you've never heard before!
