Peyton Manning Confirms 'Emily in Paris' Speculation
Peyton Manning’s weekend SNL appearance received rave reviews and prompted speculation about the validity of his TV viewing habits. Despite a seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of the Netflix series Emily in Paris, Manning confirmed to doubters that his EIP knowledge is as fake as Indianapolis’ Super Bowl aspirations.
"I've never seen an episode of Emily in Paris," Manning admitted during a Monday appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
Say it ain’t so, Peyton. Say it ain’t so.
Manning made headlines for his starring role as an Emily in Paris super fan on Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update.” Manning’s performance is a must-see. He commands the set with the same precision and brilliance that he once did a huddle for so many years.
“Oh my God, Colin. This show has everything," Manning says enthusiastically, somehow without cracking a smile. “Romance, adventure, sensuality, culture, a fresh take on feminism, finally! Not to mention a culinary tapestry so rich, I can only describe it as food porn.”
Pro-Bowl level humor from a Hall of Fame QB. OutKick founder Clay Travis said of the performance: “Peyton Manning absolutely killed it on SNL, funniest segment I’ve seen on SNL in years.”
Though his acting chops garnered plenty of buzz for both Emily in Paris and his own talents, Manning seems unlikely to stream the series. When asked whether he’d ever give the series a watch, Manning told Jimmy Fallon: "Not sure if I'm going to in the future, but I feel like I know so much about it now, Jimmy."
I wouldn’t rule it out. After all, Manning has been known to audible.
