People Are Fascinated By The Way Knicks Legend Clyde Frazier Was Housing French Fries
Remember that episode of Seinfeld where George eats candy bars with a knife and fork?
Well, I think we may be seeing a real-life version of something similar and the man at the center of it is New York Knicks great Clyde Frazier because people are fascinated by the way he was crushing french fries during Wednesday night's Game 2 between the Knicks and Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
Now, I don't think I need to tell you the traditional way people eat fries. You pick one up, you give it a bath in some ketchup or malted vinegar (or if you're French, mayo) and then you take a bite.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
But that's not what Frazier was doing.
It took me a second to even unpack what it was he was doing. I knew I was supposed to be looking for a guy eating fries in a strange way, but all I saw was a guy assuming what looked to me like classic burrito-eating posture.
Then it hit me like a sack of Yukon golds… He was eating fries, but doing it without his hands.
I'm not going to lie, I kind of love it.
We've all done that move at games where you're trying to balance a tray with an order of fries, a hot dog, and a $15 beer so you raise it up a little and grab a fry with your teeth like you're pulling a block out of the tower in a starchy game of Jenga.
I hate having greasy fingers and I bet you Frazier would agree. Although I wonder if this is his normal move, or if someone forgot to snag him a fork or something. It may have been born from necessity.
Whatever the case, I thought we had seen every conceivable way to house fries at a sporting event, but here comes Clyde Frazier with an innovation we didn't expect.
