Jeff Bezos' Whole Foods Is Selling $7 Apples

A new viral video shows a woman going off after allegedly having to pay $7 for a SINGLE apple at Jeff Bezos' Whole Foods supermarket.

In this economy? Seriously? Pretty soon we're going to have to start referring to Jeff as ‘Bozo Bezos.’ (Hey, it's a Friday - cut me some slack on my jokes.)

TikTok user "via.ll" immediately posted the expletive-filled ranting video as she emerged from a Boston Whole Foods earlier this week. Needless to say, she was not pleased after having to drop the ridiculous sum of money on a piece of fruit of all things!

THAT'S AN EXPENSIVE APPLE

"Guess how much this is. This is an apple, it's called a SugarBee f***ing apple apparently and look at it," the TikTok user began.

‘The size of my palm. I thought it was probably like two to three dollars. I scanned this mother f’n. I scanned it and it came out to seven f'n dollars, seven!"

The female TikToker has since deleted her video - but not until it went super viral and people began calling her out while informing her that no one actually forced her to buy the apple at that moment.

The correct thing would have been to say "Oh hell no," and either put it back or make a big fuss about it at the register and make one of the workers return it. And then you make your viral video knowing you're $7 richer.

On one hand, the video is definitely relatable as Americans struggle to afford to buy groceries and the quality of food that they want as inflation and more continues to go up. Since 2019, grocery prices have risen by more than 50% - with certain items going up even more.

But the TikToker should know that in this day and age it's all about making ends meet and bargaining with yourself. If you come across a $7 apple - don't buy it, especially when it's one of the more expensive ones. The SugarBee is some sort of super cross-pollinated fruit, but it's still an apple and if anyone is paying more than a dollar for an apple then you can only blame yourself.

There could be a larger issue at hand though that even Jeff Bezos should be somewhat concerned about. With more and more people stressed about their current economic condition, Bezos' Whole Foods may be affected, as people will look for quantity over quality and begin buying in bulk, or wherever they can find the cheapest products.

The sheer thought of Whole Foods even selling a $7 apple is downright absurd, and unlike Amazon, people don't need to go to Whole Foods, especially when it's all healthy food anyway - and who likes that, am I right?
