Paulina Gretzky Back To Working On Her Tan After Leaning Into Cowgirl Trend For Dustin Johnson's 40th Birthday
Paulina Gretzky wasn't lying when she credited hopping off the busy PGA Tour schedule with freeing up time for her and Dustin Johnson.
Since taking the LIV Golf money from the Saudis, she's been much busier on the content front and that's a good thing for everyone. Yes, there were death threats initially, but those have died down.
"We have a little bit more time together now since things have changed a little, whereas before, it was like, go go go," Paulina said of the move to LIV.
"We have more control now of how we do things. That old life that we had, I had to take a backseat, but now it feels like we’re in the front of the plane together flying. It was the right move."
Like the professional that she is, Paulina has been exploring social media trends. She leaned in hard to the cowgirl trend for Johnson's 40th birthday celebration at the end of June and the results speak for themselves.
Paulina Gretzky Takes Full Advantage Of The LIV Golf Schedule By Cranking Out Content
That's how you grab attention and feed the algorithm right there. She even got her mom and dad to join in on the fun in one of the posts. That's right. Janet and Wayne Gretzky put on cowboy and cowgirl hats.
Paulina knows you jump on the trends to grab some attention, then hit them with your classics. That's exactly what she did. After the cowboy-themed birthday, she got back to work on her tan while on vacation.
She couldn't have pulled all of this off on the PGA Tour. A big birthday bash at the end of June followed by a vacation in early July? That would never happen.
As Paulina said about the move to LIV, it was the right move for the Johnsons. At 35, she's still keeping the content rolling and teaching lessons about the Instagram game to a whole new generation.
When the history of LIV Golf is written there needs to be at least a chapter dedicated to how its schedule enabled Paulina Gretzky to continue to show that she still has plenty on her fastball.
