One Of The Best Shows On TV Starts Season Two With A Bang: REVIEW

"Outer Range" season two has officially arrived, and it's every bit as good as expected.

Fans of the hit Amazon series have been waiting since May 2022 for new episodes after a wild first season. The incredible series with Josh Brolin focuses on the Abbott family and the fight to protect their land……with some very hard to explain supernatural/paranormal elements.

The first season ended with an all-time great reveal about the true identity of Autumn/Amy and the introduction of Perry's missing wife Rebecca.

Oh, did I forget to mention Royal Abbott (Brolin) traveled through time after accidentally killing his dad in the 1800s and he's kept it a secret since the age of nine? Yeah, there's that fun little element as well.

"Outer Range" returns with season two.

Well, after a very long wait, "Outer Range" returned Thursday, and all seven episodes of season two are out. Naturally, I had to carve out a little time out my schedule to crush the premiere.

Season two picks up literally moments from where season one left off. All hell has broken loose following the buffalo stampede and Amy seemingly being abducted.

The hunt for answers is on. Royal, seemingly convinced that Autumn is Amy as a grown woman, is torn between Autumn and whatever happened to Amy. Cecilia - Royal's wife - is in the same boat but definitely taking a more militant approach to figuring out whatever is going on.

That's about as much as I can say without getting into serious spoilers.

What made the first season so incredibly interesting was the fact that it truly kept viewers guess until the final credits at the end of the season finale.

More than anything, it's a story about the past and trying to outrun your secrets told through the lens of western/sci-fi.

The season two premiere has a line that I think is going to stick with us through all seven episodes:

Time reveals all.

— Wayne Tillerson

Those three words from the show's main villain (or is he not the villain?) appear to be some serious foreshadowing for whatever is coming and the mystery that the Abbotts have found themselves embroiled in. Just like all of season one, the season two premiere grabbed me from the jump and refused to let go. Now, there's just six episodes left before it's a wrap on the new season. I might have to go grab a few cold beers, some popcorn and crush the rest of this by no later than the weekend. Are you already watching?
