O.J. Simpson Driver License Is Up For Auction - Would You Buy It?

O.J. Simpson isn't going away.

Just weeks after his passing at the age of 76-years-old due to cancer, some of O.J. Simpson's personal mementos are going up for auction - including his driver's license!

Nearly 50 bids have already been placed so far via Goldin Auctions in the auction that goes until June 6th. Currently, the highest bid is at $850.00.

O.J. SIMPSON MEMORABILIA SEEING UPTICK SINCE HIS PASSING

The license features a smiling Orenthal James Simpson as well as a facsimile of his signature. The Florida license was issued on August 15th, 2007 and expired on July 9, 2011, during what I would say is "Stage 3" of the O.J. Simpson timeline, the first being his stellar football career, the second being the Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman murder trial, and the third being post-acquittal life in which he still had run-ins with the law.

Just one month after Simpson was issued this Florida license, he would rob a Las Vegas sports memorabilia dealer in which he was eventually found guilty of armed robbery and spent nine years in prison. The Florida license expired while Simpson was behind bars.

Although Simpson has quite an awkward and shameful past, when it comes to memorabilia collectors, there is always a market for pieces of history - which clearly, OJ has clearly had an impact on. Just a few weeks ago, Goldin auctioned off one of O.J.'s expired Bank of America credit cards - that was unsigned by the way, for $10,675!

Last month, the owners of Simpson's infamous white Ford Bronco announced that they are looking to sell the vehicle with an asking price of $1.5 million. Hey, you gotta go for it while you can and this may be the last chance that O.J. Simpson is remotely relevant and in headlines still now that he's since passed.

So what do you think, OutKick family? Would you bid on O.J.'s license if you had the disposable income? Or is it wrong considering his past? Let us know!
