Will Fans Play The New College Football Video Game? Poll Results Show Clear Answer

Fans are amped up and excited for the upcoming college football video game.

As OutKick's loyal readers know, we've been covering the release of the upcoming EA Sports game like a hawk, and that won't change in the near future.

There have been slow drips of updates from EA Sports and other sources that have only stoked the fire more and more leading up to the release of "College Football 25."

The first college football video game in 11 years is expected to hit shelves at some point in July. It truly can't get here soon enough.

Excitement is building for new college football video game.

This past Sunday, I was out with some buddies and chatter about "College Football 25" dominated our conversation for at least an hour. What teams will we play with? What offenses will be run? What schemes do we like? How will recruiting work?

You have to remember that it's been 11 years. Eleven cold, lonely and dark years since "NCAA Football 14" dropped in 2013. That got me thinking about whether I'm alone or if other people feel the same.

I asked OutKick readers Monday if they plan on playing the game, and I'm happy to report that many are. Nearly 57% of more than 1,400 voters voted that they do plan on playing the new game.

I'm not sure there's a single other video game I could have thrown out that would have received at least 50% support.

OutKick fans can't wait for the new college football video game.

Is anyone surprised by the fact a majority of OutKick readers are fired up and excited for the new college football video game?

The answer should be no. The Venn diagram of college football fans and OutKick readers is pretty much a perfect circle. You can't find a more dedicated college football audience.

Now, for the first time since my second-to-last year of college, a new game will hit shelves in July. I seriously can't believe we're here and more than 50% of our readers feel the same way.

Pray for my girlfriend and all the significant others out there who will lose access to their boyfriends once this game drops. She might not be happy, but it's going to have to happen. I will have a cooler of beer, the 72" screen on lock down and millions of other people will be joining me as we build a dynasty. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
