MSNBC's Jen Psaki, Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid Laugh At Fears Of Border, Ignore Laken Riley Death
MSNBC tasked Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and Jen Psaki to anchor its coverage of Super Tuesday, advertising hard-hitting objective journalism.
The results of the night, as in another strong showing for Donald Trump, visibly irked the ladies on set. However, it was Virginia Republican voters who bothered the cast the most.
The trio mocked Virginia Republican voters who listed "the border and immigration" as a top priority this year.
"You're thinking like, what?" Psaki said, leading the way. "Trump has indoctrinated people with this fear of people who do not look like them being a threat to them."
"Well, Virginia does have a border with West Virginia," Maddow joked back.
"They're voting on race," Reid interjected. "They're voting on this idea of an invasion of brown people over the border."
Actually, no.
It's not "an invasion of brown people" that worries American voters. What worries American voters is that Joe Biden's open border policy allows illegals to enter this country without struggle.
It appears lost on the MSNBC desk that while they were mocking the severity of illegal immigration, an illegal alien just beat to death a 22-year-old nursing student.
Her name was Laken Riley. She was jogging a trail in Georgia between classes when the thug killed her.
His name is Jose Antonio Ibarra, who the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed last week entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 and had previously been arrested in New York City.
Biden’s oft-debated border policy allowed Ibarra to walk into this country, commit crimes and remain free only to batter a young woman to death.
That – illegals like Ibarra – is what voters fear.
"Fox & Friends" host Rachel Campos-Duffy explained in a comment to OutKick about how the death of Lake Riley could be at the top of mind for mothers voting this November:
"Remember the suburban 'security moms' of previous elections? Laken Riley’s brutal, senseless murder by an illegal gang member may very well mark the rise of ‘border moms.’ Being murdered in broad daylight while jogging on a safe college campus signals to moms that none of our daughters are safe in Biden’s America.
"Riley’s death was a wake-up call to American moms - especially for moms with college-aged daughters. It’s terrifying, and we will be thinking about this beautiful future nurse and our own daughters when we enter the voting booth."
Unfortunately, no one was on set to reference Riley's death while Maddow, Reid, and Psaki ranted.
Secondly, it's not just Virginia Republicans who marked "immigration" as the biggest concern facing the United States today. Voters across the country agree.
A new Gallup poll found that immigration is the leading concern for voters heading into the 2024 presidential election:
Americans are more worried about illegal immigration than MSNBC talking points like so-called white supremacy, transphobia, and George Floyd.
No wonder MSNBC is in such denial.
