The Air Force Hero Killed In Heroic One-Man Last Stand: VIDEO

Air Force legend John Chapman was an incredible warrior and American.

Chapman was killed March 4, 2002 during the Battle of Takur Ghar as part of Operation Anaconda. Chapman was a 24th STS CCT attached to a SEAL Team 6 element conducting an insertion operation when things went sideways.

A SEAL Team 6 operator was killed after falling out of a helicopter that eventually went down, and Chapman was left alone on the mountain after the SEALs pulled back. Chapman's heroic last stand against the terrorists was brought to the public by Dan Schilling's book "Alone at Dawn," the drone footage and his eventual Medal of Honor award. Chapman fought to the brutal and bloody end alone in order to save anyone else who arrived on the mountain.

Former Air Force 24th STS CCT Mike Lamonica joined me on American Joyride to discuss Chapman's actions and legacy. He's a name every American needs to know.

You can listen to Mike break it down starting around 52:00 (follow me on Instagram for more pro-America clips and content), and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

John Chapman is an American hero, and I hope we never forget his legacy. Left alone on a mountain surrounded by enemy fighters, he rose up after sustaining several injuries and fought like hell. God bless John Chapman and all the men out there like him.
