Some people on social media are unleashing appalling reactions to Michelle Trachtenberg dying.

The former Hollywood star tragically died earlier in the week at the age of 39. A cause of death remains unknown after an autopsy wasn't performed.

It's an incredibly sad situation, and some people are exploiting it on social media to launch a disgusting smear campaign.

Truly depraved and disgusting behavior from lots of people. It's an unfortunate reminder that even a person dying can't stop people from being idiots.

If you ever find yourself attacking someone following their death, then you need to take a long and hard look in the mirror.

That's especially true if you're attacking someone over ethnicity, race or religion. It's beyond gross. It's downright disgusting.

Fortunately, most people aren't this sick. People with common sense would never behave this way following the death of someone they didn't know. It's made even worse by the fact she was so young.
