Mets Security Boots 'Blue Collar' Fan On $1 Hot Dog Night As 9/9/9 Challenge Gets Wild

I thought this was America?

While terrorist sympathizers were busy rooting for the death of the United States in Manhattan, a Mets fan attempting to complete the nine beers and nine hot dogs in nine innings challenge (The 9/9/9) was revmoved from his seat at Citi Field Tuesday on Dollar Dog Night after wieners started flying in the 100 level seats.

Why was the guy booted if he was just there to eat dogs and get drunk? Amateur reporters on the ground got the full story and it sounds like the Mets freaked out over a few flying weiners.

This sounds like a total overreaction.

"Rode with this legend back to the city, got the whole story. Him and his girlfriend came from westchester to have a good time. Welder, blue collar guy, just wants to drink beers and eat glizzys," Mets fan Brian Cushman I tweeted.

"Security got scared that he would ‘incite’ the fans, asked the cops to kick him out. Cops kicked him out but apologized to him while they were doing it. Dugout + fans were all on board, but security was afraid of objects thrown."

Imagine if the Mets were in charge of security at Columbia. Instead, we let the Hamassholes take over college buildings. This is America!

"(G)uy downed 10+ dogs and beers throughout the game and kept tally on his shirt, crowd kept egging him on, and crowd threw about 50 more dogs at him in the 9th. was booted shortly after," Mets fan Mitch reported.

Now a legend, the Dollar Dog Welder Guy seemed to be sober enough to tell his story to multiple people.

"Just met him on the train… he said the NYPD had to kick him out for "inciting a riot [crying emojis]. The police were apparently laughing though, all in good fun. He told people to throw him their hot dogs," another fan wrote.

You get the idea.

  1. Blue-collar welder guy gets tuned up. The crowd starts to get lubed up.
  2. Beers are flying. Wieners are flying.
  3. People are having a good time. We can't have that. You can't have wieners flying around in the 9th inning during a tight game.
  4. Mets security thinks Blue Collar Welder Guy could cause a riot…gotta get him outta here.
  5. Mets win 4-2.
  6. Blue Collar Welder Guy becomes an Internet hero for completing the 9/9/9 Challenge and inciting the crowd to chant "Let him eat!" as he's being booted.
  7. That's a quality final night in April at the ballpark.
