SAS Operator Remembers Intense Iraq War Combat: VIDEO

Melvyn Downes has some fascinating memories from the Iraq War.

Melvyn, a former SAS operator, recently joined me on American Joyride to discuss a variety of different topics, and one that I found really interesting were his comments about fighting the Saddam Fedayeen in Iraq. The Fedayeen were elite fighters loyal to executed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. While much of the Iraqi military didn't have any interest in fighting, the most loyal to Saddam were more than eager to have a go against American forces and our awesome British allies. While the Fedayeen tried to hold its ground, turns out it was no match for Tier One units, according to Melvyn and others I've interviewed.

You can watch his comments about fighting the Iraqi special forces and the Fedayeen starting around 1:13:00, and make sure to send your reactions to David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
