Matthew McConaughey lost a fight with a bee, and the outcome isn't pretty.

Getting stung by a bee or a wasp is easily among the best ways to make sure your day is ruined. It's absolutely brutal. It's happened to most of us at least once, and it's always a horrific time.

Well, McConaughey really got jacked up by a bee.

The former "True Detective" star posted a photo of his eye incredibly swollen following being stung and captioned it, "Bee swell."

That's a big yikes moment for sure. The star actor looks like he took a punch directly to the eye. Absolutely brutal.

The sucker appears to have got him right next to his eye. That has to be arguably the worst place to get stung. At least he's not letting his face looking like a boxer who got worked bring his spirits down.

I once saw a guy have wasp fly up his shirt and it was a disaster. So, stay away from any creature that can fly and has a stinger on it! It's not worth the risk.
