New 'Masters Of The Air' Episode Shocks Viewers, Causes Social Media To Erupt

The latest "Masters of the Air" episode, once again, has captivated viewers and the internet.

The fifth episode of the hit WWII series from Apple TV+ about bomber crews hammering Europe premiered Friday, and people couldn't rush to their TVs fast enough.

The fourth episode ended in gut-wrenching and brutal fashion. There were multiple stunning moments, and the stakes couldn't be higher as viewers watched the Bloody 100th fly into battle. Somehow, the people responsible managed to make episode five even more gut-wrenching and brutal…….as hard as that might be to believe.

That's about as much as I can say without spoiling it all.

Fans react to "Masters of the Air" episode five.

As we've seen since the premiere, every single episode tends to set the internet on fire, and episode five wasn't any different. X was flooded with reactions as viewers were left in a state of shock and also praised the new episode.

Check out some below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again for everyone. You need to be watching "Masters of the Air" if you love history, WWII or just great entertainment.

It's the best war series made since "Band of Brothers." Now, is it as good as the legendary series about paratroopers? No, but nothing will be. Beating "BoB" shouldn't be the standard.

The standard is to simply be great, and "Masters of the Air" easily accomplishes that goal.

It's great to see bomber crews finally get the respect and recognition they deserve. Being on a bomber crew was an incredibly violent and brutal job.

Imagine flying around in a tin box as German flak and fighters try to bring you down. Survival was often nothing short of a miracle.

Now, viewers are getting a taste of what it was like, and while nothing can replicate combat, "Masters of the Air" does a nice job of portraying just how brutal it was up in the skies over Europe.
