Marines Savagely Roast The Navy Over Humiliating Deleted Photo
The Marines came out swinging against the Navy amid a hilarious photo scandal.
The Navy posted a photo earlier in the week on its official social media channel of a man firing a rifle with a backwards optic, the lens covers appeared to still be on, his arm out like a chicken wing, the butt of the gun riding up his shoulder and it also appeared the selector switch might have been set to fully automatic.
The photo was eventually deleted, but not before plenty of people grabbed screenshots. I had to check multiple times to make sure it was real. It is, and it's very embarrassing.
Now, the Marines are hitting back.
The Marines roast the Navy over photo scandal.
The Marines decided to lean into the inter-service rivalry and have a little fun at Navy's expense with a Wednesday post.
The Marines posted a photo of a guy firing a rifle, but there was one huge difference from the photo shared by the Navy:
The optic was actually on correctly and the Marines had proper firing form. The caption of "Clear Sight Picture" was simply the cherry on top.

This is a hilarious response from the Marines, and anyone who says otherwise simply has no sense of humor. The Navy is rightfully getting destroyed for posting an embarrassing photo.
The deleted photo was probably seen by around a dozen people in the workflow process before it was released, and not a single person noticed all the issues with it.
If you make a mistake like that, then you need to put your hand up and accept your L.
People were also quick to notice on social media, and there was no doubt they knew exactly what the Marines were doing with their post.
Having said all that, nobody better think the Navy's mistake means it won't still kick anyone's butt any day of the week. It's the most powerful navy the world has ever seen, and I'm damn proud of all the men and women who serve in it. It's still okay to laugh at a mistake as ridiculous as the rifle photo, but when it's needed, our sailors get the job done. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
