Mardi Gras Melee In Louisiana Has Wigs Hitting The Floor & Open Hand Slaps Being Dished Out
Mardi Gras took place earlier this week and some in Louisiana chose to mark the occasion by brawling with one another in a convenience store.
This wasn't your run-of-the-mill brawl that interrupted a quiet day while picking up a few snacks either. This brawl proved to be worthy of the special day as it turned into pure chaos.
It all reportedly went down in a Y-Not Stop store located in the Evangeline Parish near Ville Platte. Mardi Gras festivities had just wrapped up near Mamou on Mardi Gras day, and it was now time to throw down.
A fight between two women quickly escalated into an all-out brawl involving nearly a dozen people, including two employees. The employees start out as peacemakers attempting to stop the fight between the women.
It's not long before the situation is completely out of hand. Before you know it, the two employees are no longer serving as peacemakers and are caught up in the action.
There are several punches thrown, wigs hit the floor, bodies end up on the floor, and merchandise is tossed around the store during the melee. For a brief moment, it looks as if the fighters are ready to go their separate ways.
Brawling On Mardi Gras Means You Better Be Ready For Multiple Rounds
That didn't happen. The employees at this point are still trying to get those involved out of the store. Some pushing and shoving leads to an open hand slap being dished out by an employee.
The slap reignites the fighting and another all-out breaks out. This time around, the two employees are not pretending at all to be peacemakers.
They're now going toe-to-toe with customers, some of which weren't even involved with the initial fighting. More people and merchandise end up on the floor before the video ends.
If you're going to throw hands on Mardi Gras, you had better be prepared to go a few rounds. It's unknown if anyone was arrested as a result of the fight, but you can bet there were more than a couple of sore bodies afterward.
That's the kind of action that requires some ice and a few anti-inflammatories.
