'MAGA' Sophie Cunningham Chugged Her Drink Courtside At The WNBA All-Star Game

If Sophie Cunningham was worried about the lunatics coming after her for being a "MAGA terf," she wasn't showing it during Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game.

The Phoenix Mercury's guard was courtside at the Footprint Center - her home floor - for the game and made the most of her seating arrangement.  Being courtside meant plenty of camera time for her.

It also meant an opportunity for Sophie to chug her drink when it presented itself.  Credit to her for going for it despite being left with mostly ice in her cup.

It put her in a tough spot, but she battled through it.  The nut jobs who got upset when they didn't see her name on the WNBA's "negative sentiment" poll weren't about to win.

When the video of Sophie's MVP performance was shared on social media by her team, she jumped into the comment section to explain what had happened, "IT WAS ALL ICE DAMN IT. MISSOURI KNOWS HOW RAISE EM."

Sophie Cunningham Had A Solid WNBA All-Star Weekend

I don't know the official rules on the courtside chug, but I have to believe taking your time getting a mouthful of ice down doesn't count against you.

Even if she was docked some points for that, she had a strong overall courtside performance that more than made up for that.  Which shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.

For someone who didn't play in the actual All-Star Game, Sophie put up a lot of points in other ways this weekend.  On top of the chug and her front row performance, she did some damage on the orange carpet.

Add all of that to the fact that she finished second in the All-Star skills competition, and she put on a clinic on how to properly assist in hosting an All-Star game when your city has the honors.

Take that, haters.

So she happens to follow the social media accounts of certain politicians.  Big deal.  Sophie doesn't appear to be letting the opinions of those who don't approve get her down.

Bring the best you've got, she's ready for it.
